Cricketers Debashish Mohanty and Shiv
Sunder Das has been gifted with generous
piece of
land by the Company. Not only from
field of cricket, it also has boosted
the morale of Indian Hockey captain Dilip
Tirkey and national team player Lazarus
Barla by presenting them with plots. Time
and again the company has helped with

and has organised events and tournaments.

The
' Sahid Sporting-Maruti Estate
Cricketer of the Year ' award
was conferred on international
Debasis Mohanty at a function
held here on Sunday .Mohanty got
the award for his outstanding
performance during the 2004-05
Ranji season . In five matches
he climed 26 wickets, which was
the highest by any bowler of the
State. Mohanty also became the
all-time highest wicket taker
for Orissa in Ranji Trophy.
